Cornelius Lott Shear Papers
The Cornelius Lott Shear Papers contain certificates given to botanist and plant pathologist Shear, who traveled to foreign countries to research agriculture. Many of the certificates serve as introduction letters or statements of purpose presenting Shear’s credentials for official travel. An addition of two reprinted articles about Shear and a few personal photographs was made to the collection in 2011.
CPC Catalog
The CPC Catalog contains bibliographic citations for plants and soils, mostly referring to articles, and the cards mostly carry the National Agricultural Library (NAL) cataloging system numbers. The cards are filed alphabetically by last name of author and by type of crop. Includes early horticultural literature from 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. There are both U.S. and foreign citations. Additions to the catalog may have ceased in the 1940s.
Dairy Publications Collection
The Dairy Publications Collection consists mainly of papers relating to dairy programs, agricultural organizations, committees, conferences, reports, congressional testimony, marketing, and federal regulations.
Daniel Poppleton Account Book
The Daniel Poppleton Account Book (typewritten copy, 1939) is titled "A Pioneer Farmer of Licking County, Ohio...1818-1852." Most of the entries in the account book are debit items. Little money was in circulation at that time, and marketing of farm products was accomplished through barter. There is an introduction to the account book written by W.W. Stockberger, which provides biographical information about Poppleton and an explanation of the account book.
Dean Howard Mayberry Papers
The Dean Howard Mayberry Papers include research records of the Northern Regional Research Laboratory, as well as press releases, correspondence, publications, and papers on research relating to the transformation of agricultural products into commercial commodities. Some topics of research include oils, cereals, antibiotics, starch, polysaccharides, amylose, corn, and alcohol.

The Douglas Ensminger Scrapbook is titled "Extension Rehabilitation Conference Scrap Book; Sept. 19-22, 1944; Douglas Ensminger, chairman." The full title of the conference covered in the scrapbook is "Conference to outline the contribution of extension methods and techniques toward the rehabilitation of war-torn countries. September 19-22, 1944. Washington, D.C.: United States Department of Agriculture, Cooperative Extension Service and Office of Foreign Agricultural Relations."
